Turn away from sin! Repentance is a physical act, a turning away, a setting aside, a putting down. We can miss that if our confession is always just words. Here is one way of embodying our need for forgiveness and our repentance.
I did this during a Lent all-age service. On Ash Wednesday, we are marked with an ash cross as a physical symbol of our need for repentance and our forgiveness. I thought that another physical act of repentance was appropriate!

As a symbol of this and of God’s love and forgiveness let us join hands and share the grace with one another:
